Icon House – Student Accommodation Intumescent Fire Protection

Fire Tech Coatings UK Ltd were appointed to carry out intumescent fire protection works to the structural steelwork for the new-build Icon House student accommodation development in Stoke-on-Trent. The project comprised a 200-apartment student accommodation block, with all relevant structural steelwork prepared and intumescent painted to achieve a certified 60-minute fire resistance, in accordance with project specifications and applicable British Standards. All works were completed by trained operatives using airless spray application methods, with full quality control, dry film thickness monitoring, and certification issued upon completion. The project was delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.
