Autolab Blackburn – Intumescent & Decorative Steel Coatings

Fire Tech Coatings UK Ltd were appointed to carry out intumescent fire protection and decorative coating works to the structural steelwork for the new-build Autolab car showroom in Blackburn. All structural steelwork was prepared and intumescent painted to achieve 60 minutes fire resistance, in accordance with project specifications and relevant British Standards. Following the fire protection application, the entire unit was spray painted in a graphite grey finish, providing a durable, high-quality decorative coating suitable for a commercial showroom environment. Works were completed using airless spray application methods by trained operatives, with full quality control, dry film thickness monitoring, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures. The project was delivered on programme and to a high professional standard.
